The Datacard® ImageCard® IV card printer is the first desktop printer designed specifically for high-volume applications that require superior image quality, extra-long card life, advanced card security and nonstop reliability. Its up to 210 card-per-hour speed and reliable design make it an ideal solution for issuing driver's licenses, college and university IDs, benefit program cards and national IDs.
Superior image quality, plus standard duplex printing
An advanced, high-speed print engine delivers true-to-life photos and crisp, clean graphics. Its Tru Image™ color enhancement allows you to print color images with improved shade accuracy—providing you with virtually true-to-life images! In addition to superior image quality, ImageCard IV offers a standard duplex printing feature that allows you to print full-color images on both sides of your cards.
Durable, long-life cards
ImageCard IV can apply a Datacard® DuraGard™ protective polyester overlay to your cards. This resilient overlay extends card life by creating a barrier against scratches, abrasions, dye migration and chemical agents.
A better approach to card security
ImageCard IV uses two heated rollers to apply the holographic topcoat and the polyester overlay separately. Even if the polyester overlay is removed, the tamper-evident holographic topcoat remains affixed to the card.
Protection for your printer, cards and supplies
Lockable and detachable card hoppers help prevent card stock from falling into the wrong hands. Simply remove the card hoppers when you're done printing and store them in a safe place.
Low cost of ownership
Our long-life, operator-replaceable printhead minimizes downtime and can reduce service costs dramatically over the life of the printer. A unique, patent-pending particle detection system senses embedded particles in plastic cards, then sends those cards to a reject hopper before they cause damage.
Magnetic stripe and smart card options
ImageCard IV lets you encode magnetic stripes and personalize smart card chips as part of the inline personalization process.
