The new Datacard® E6200 Card Personalization System answers the market need for a high-volume, cost-effective solution for the preprinted loyalty and gift card markets. The E6200 is a high quality, small footprint system boasting a throughput of up to10,000 cards per hour.* At this speed, the system dramatically reduces labor costs and increases processing efficiencies. When combined with low supply costs, the system yields industry personalization costs of as little as $0.0033 per card.**
Datacard’s E6200 is ideal for bureaus offering personalized membership cards, gift cards, insurance cards, lottery and gaming cards and other loyalty-based card programs. The E8200 meets the requirements of the telecommunication card market head-on, offering scratch-off security panels required by most phone card applications.
The E6200 features three-track magnetic stripe encoding on either side of the card and inkjet printing of bar codes, logos and alphanumeric characters on preprinted loyalty and gift cards. Inline single-camera quality control technology helps ensure personalization integrity and card tracking. The system’s robust, reliable design helps maximize up time, and the compact footprint allows considerable flexibility when integrating the system into existing production facilities.
The E6200 and the E8200 Card Personalization Systems are now available to order. Both systems offer a choice of inkjet printer configurations.
* The E6200 and E8200 systems and both printer options (Domino Bitjet 212 Printer and Domino A400 inkjet printer) have gone through extensive throughput testing demonstrating a capacity of up to 10,000 cards per hour. All system and printer modules support this throughput. Customer-specific non-standard configurations and requirements are not independently tested; system deviations may impact throughput potential.
** Example is for E6200 systems running with the A400 printer at 20 million cards per year. It assumes use of existing vs. new systems, 4% annual inflation rate, 4% corporate tax rate (applied to supplies, maintenance and labor), and a labor rate of $12/hour (burdened).

A wide range of card materials accommodate the printers’ MEK solvent, including standard PVC, polycarbonate, polyester, varnished, paper, PET cards and many more. This range of choices provides production flexibility that helps delivers optimal productivity for each customer.
Security features
Inline processing and multiple data encoding features, combining barcode, magnetic stripe and camera verification, provide enhanced security to card issuers over traditional methods of personalization.
